Guri City Hosts Cosmos Choir Festival
9 Groups Including Guri City Choir Participate... Presenting Beautiful Melodies on an Autumn Night
The Cosmos Choir Festival in Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) will grandly open on the last day of October, the 31st, at 7:30 PM at the Cosmos Grand Theater in Guri Art Hall.
According to Guri City on the 22nd, this performance will feature a total of nine groups, led by the Guri City Choir, including the Guri City Women's Choir, Yedami Women's Choir, Coram Deo Choir, Galmae Children's Choir, Hayan Narae Choir, CTS Choir, Guri Disabled Choir, and Haneul Sori Men's Choir. It is a large-scale event with over 280 participants.
The performance will showcase a variety of beautiful stages that the choirs have honed, ranging from traditional Korean folk songs using traditional melodies to beloved Korean art songs and popular songs, as well as folk music from various countries. The final act will feature a joint choir performance with all choirs singing together.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun said, "I would like to once again thank all the choir members who worked hard to hold this choir festival, and I hope this performance will be a special opportunity to experience Guri City's efforts to develop into a cultured and artistic city of distinction."
