Gapyeong-gun Successfully Concludes '2024 Large-Scale Job Fair'
A Valuable Meeting Place for Job Seekers and Companies with Over 500 Participants
Gapyeong-gun is holding the '2024 Gapyeong Special County Large-scale Job Fair' at Han Seokbong Gymnasium on the 17th.
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 21st that the '2024 Gapyeong Special County Large-scale Job Fair' held at Hanseokbong Gymnasium on the 17th was successfully concluded. About 500 participants, including 50 companies and job seekers, attended this fair, which was highly evaluated for greatly helping to resolve job vacancies and job seeking.
The large-scale job fair hosted by Gapyeong-gun saw direct participation from 30 local companies such as Gyeonggi Express Co., Ltd., Gapyeong Transportation Co., Ltd., Orient Bio, Nammun, WJ Uri Resort, and Yuil Company, while 20 companies participated indirectly. Additionally, 209 people applied for jobs in advance, with 298 on-site interviews and 20 indirect interviews conducted.
After the fair, the county plans to continuously connect job seekers who submitted resumes with 20 indirectly participating companies, including Samjin Food, to provide employment placement and linkage services.
The fair also involved related organizations such as the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, Chuncheon Employment Center, Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, and Northern Gyeonggi Military Manpower Administration, promoting various job projects and assisting job seekers through consultations.
Gapyeong-gun conducted on-site labor law consultations through labor attorneys and collaborated with the Northern Gyeonggi Labor Rights Center to carry out an industrial accident prevention campaign. This initiative provided an opportunity to strengthen awareness of labor rights and occupational safety and health.
A county official stated, "Gapyeong-gun established a youth team within the Job Policy Division this year to support various projects aimed at creating jobs for young people," adding, "We operate programs such as youth internship support, youth interview suit support, and employment support programs, so we hope many young residents in the area will show interest and participate."
