Samjong KPMG to Hold Seminar for Japanese Companies on the 7th of Next Month

Samjong KPMG announced on the 21st that it will hold a seminar for Japanese companies at POSCO Tower Yeoksam in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 7th of next month.
Last year, Japan's foreign direct investment (FDI) in Korea amounted to approximately $1.3 billion (about 2 trillion KRW), making Japan one of Korea's major investors alongside the United States and the European Union (EU). In particular, Japan has focused intensive investments in manufacturing, automotive parts, electronics, and technology industries. Recently, it has also been actively entering advanced manufacturing sectors such as semiconductors, batteries, and the chemical industry.
This seminar will introduce the current issues faced by Japanese companies operating in Korea across audit, tax, finance, and consulting sectors, as well as the latest trends in corporate management in each area.
The presentations will be led by Samjong KPMG experts. The audit session will be conducted by Partners Changgil Jeong and Yunho Hyun, who will analyze key accounting and audit issues and their impact on Japanese companies. In the tax session, Partner Sangmu Lee will present recent trends and cases in tax investigations, while Partner Jeongeun Kim will cover Korea's transfer pricing tax system and recent issues.
Partner Cheonwook Baek will introduce trends and issues related to cash grants and national strategic technology tax credits for Japanese companies. The finance session, focusing on the latest trends in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Korea, will be guided by Partner Junghwan Kim. Finally, in the consulting session, Partners Donggeun Lee and Seunghwan Jeong will present on advanced management strategies utilizing information and communication technology.
