Gun to Conduct '2024 Hoguk Training' Starting from the 20th
Participation of US Forces Korea Power as Before
The military will conduct the annual field maneuver exercise, '2024 Hokuk Training,' for three weeks from the 20th of this month to the 8th of next month to enhance joint operation capabilities and establish military readiness.
The Northwest Islands Defense Command conducted a defense training exercise as part of the national defense training, involving joint forces from the Army, Navy, and Air Force to prepare for various enemy provocation scenarios.
View original imageThe Joint Chiefs of Staff explained on the 18th, "Considering the 'expected enemy provocation and attack patterns' linked to recent warfare trends, we will create realistic scenarios and integrate joint forces across land, sea, and air domains to strengthen jointness and combat realism."
The scale of personnel and equipment from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps participating in this year's Hokuk Training has been expanded compared to last year. As before, U.S. Forces Korea will also participate.

The Joint Chiefs emphasized, "Amid the continuous increase in North Korea's balloon propaganda, nuclear facility disclosures, and rhetorical threats toward the South, our military will enhance strong combat capabilities through this Hokuk Training and demonstrate firm readiness and determination."
