Closing Ceremony of the 7th Citizen Observation Group for Saeul Units 3 and 4

Closing the Year of Observation Activities Amid Enthusiastic Interest

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (President Hwang Ju-ho) held a closing ceremony on the 17th at the headquarters auditorium to conclude the activities of the ‘Saewool Units 3 and 4 7th Citizen Observation Group’.

The citizen observation group, which began activities with an online preliminary observation training in June, conducted site visits to the Saewool Units 3 and 4 construction site and commissioning test observations, and concluded their activities with this closing ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by So Yoo-seop, Head of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, members of the citizen observation group, and other related personnel. The event included presentations of observation activity impressions, viewing of activity videos, and the awarding of certificates to the observation group members.

The citizen observation group shared their thoughts, saying, “It was a meaningful time to directly observe the nuclear power plant construction and commissioning process, resolve our questions, and personally experience the safety and necessity of nuclear power plants.”

So Yoo-seop, Head of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, stated, “The satisfaction expressed regarding KHNP’s efforts in information disclosure and the significant help in improving understanding of nuclear power are major achievements of the citizen observation group activities. Saewool Headquarters will continue to do its best to ensure nuclear safety and transparent information disclosure.”
