Next Year's National Library Conference to Be Held at Suwon Convention Center
The National Library Conference next year will be held at the Suwon Convention Center.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 17th that the Suwon Convention Center was confirmed as the venue for next year's conference (October 22?24) at the ‘2024 61st National Library Conference’ held at High1 Resort in Gangwon.
Hosted by the Korean Library Association, the ‘National Library Conference’ is an event where library-related officials from the Presidential National Library Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, and metropolitan local governments gather to discuss development plans for libraries and the book industry.
Next year's event will feature various programs including ▲strengthening the capabilities of libraries in Korea and exploring policy tasks in response to rapid environmental changes ▲a new technology exhibition for library information exchange ▲presentations and special lectures ▲an international conference ▲and experiential tours of Gyeonggi libraries.

Gang Hyun-seok, Director of the Future Lifelong Education Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "With the opening of Gyeonggi libraries next year, we will hold the National Library Conference and widely promote not only Gyeonggi’s excellent library policies but also its cultural, tourism, and artistic resources," adding, "We will do our best to make it a richer venue for exchange and cooperation among library professionals nationwide."
