Hanwha Ocean Labor and Management Conclude 2024 Collective Bargaining
Safety as the Top Priority
Focusing on Management Normalization
Hanwha Ocean has successfully concluded this year's collective bargaining negotiations with its labor union.
On the 11th, Hanwha Ocean finalized the collective bargaining agreement, which includes the wage increase agreed upon by labor and management on the 9th, through a vote by all union members. This will allow the company to further accelerate the stabilization of its production processes.
The successful conclusion of these negotiations is a positive signal for labor-management coexistence and the normalization of management, as it was achieved through close communication between labor and management despite the company's challenging business situation.
In particular, safety is a non-negotiable absolute value, and it is a time when active participation in a safety culture by all members and continuous investment are essential to establish an accident-free workplace. In this context, the fact that the agreement was reached through dialogue and compromise, rather than adversarial labor relations, makes the outcome even more significant.
