Establishing Institutional Cooperation Foundation for Carbon Neutral Industrial Complex Creation in Eunnam General Industrial Complex
Yang Su-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of the "Eunnam General Industrial Complex in Yangju" aimed at becoming the "first carbon-neutral industrial complex in northern Gyeonggi" on the 8th at the headquarters of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation, together with Kim Se-yong, President of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation, and Kim Hye-ae, Director of Gyeonggi Environment and Energy Promotion Agency.
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 8th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of the Yangju Eunnam General Industrial Complex, aiming to become the "first carbon-neutral industrial complex in northern Gyeonggi," together with Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (President Kim Se-yong) and Gyeonggi Environmental Energy Promotion Agency (Director Kim Hye-ae) at the headquarters of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation.
The signing ceremony was attended by about 80 officials, including Kang Su-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, Kim Se-yong, President of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation, and Kim Hye-ae, Director of Gyeonggi Environmental Energy Promotion Agency, adding prestige to the event.
Through this agreement, each organization will cooperate on △(Yangju City) permits and administrative support for the utilization of renewable energy power generation facilities △(GH) renewable energy application plans, site review, and establishment of industrial complex plans (changes) △(Promotion Agency) consulting on renewable energy business models and technical support.
The Yangju Eunnam General Industrial Complex, which began construction in February 2023, is developing industrial facility sites covering approximately 992,000㎡ in the Eunhyeon-myeon area.
Through this agreement, the plan is to promote the phased development of a pollution-free industrial complex starting in 2025, aiming to be the first carbon-neutral industrial complex in northern Gyeonggi. This is expected to be an important starting point for the sustainable development of Yangju City.
