Healing Yoga at Achasan... Gwangjin-gu Hosts '2024 Gwangjin Wellness Day'
Held on the 13th at Achasan Eoullim Square... Providing a unique leisure opportunity for residents tired of daily life
Healing programs combining yoga, including proper body care and Singing Bowl & Gong Sound Bath performances
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the ‘2024 Gwangjin Wellness Day’ at Achasan Eoullim Square on the 13th.
Gwangjin Wellness Day is organized to provide a unique leisure experience for residents tired from their busy daily lives by conducting the yoga program operated by Achasan Leisure Center outdoors.
First, from 9:30 AM, the ‘Proper Body Care’ yoga program will take place. About 40 Gwangjin residents who completed prior registration will participate and learn the correct body usage using a balance chair together with a professional instructor.
From 10:20 AM, the ‘Singing Bowl & Gong Sound Bath Performance’ will follow. The sound bath is an experiential performance where participants can enjoy yoga and meditation simultaneously while listening to various musical instruments. It is a healing program effective for mental and physical relaxation through the waves of clear instrument sounds.
The sound bath performance is free and open to all Gwangjin residents who want a special experience in nature without prior registration.
For more details about the event and programs, please contact the Parks and Greenery Division of Gwangjin-gu Office.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We have prepared this ‘Gwangjin Wellness Day’ event thoroughly to offer residents a unique leisure activity in harmony with nature,” adding, “We hope everyone will forget their daily routines for a while and enjoy a healing and happy time at the clear autumn Achasan Eoullim Square.”
