Hwaseong-si Holds Meeting of TF Promotion Team for Attracting Science High School
Son Imseong Deputy Mayor "Will Continue Thorough Preparation Until Application Submission"
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that it held the '4th Task Force (TF) Promotion Team Meeting' on the 7th at the city hall situation room to attract a science high school.

About 20 people attended the meeting, including Son Imseong, the TF promotion team leader and vice mayor, the deputy team leader who is the director of the Culture and Education Bureau, heads of related departments, and senior research committee members of the Hwaseong City Research Institute.
According to the city, the meeting discussed major pending issues such as candidate sites for application and the scope of financial support in accordance with the 'Gyeonggi-type Science High School New Designation Phase 1 Preliminary Designation Contest Plan' announced by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education on the 11th of last month.
Based on the results of this meeting and the policy research by the Hwaseong City Research Institute, the city plans to make thorough preparations for drafting the contest application in cooperation with the Gyeonggi Hwaseong-Osan Office of Education.

Vice Mayor Son said, "The establishment of a science high school in Hwaseong will nurture future talents in science and engineering and provide more opportunities for students in Hwaseong," adding, "We will continue to prepare thoroughly until the contest application to meet the expectations of the local community."
