"Security Capability Consolidation" Hyundai AutoEver Launches Cyber Security Division
Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 7th that it has launched a 'Cyber Security Division' to differentiate its competitiveness in the mobility security sector.
Over the past two months, Hyundai AutoEver has reorganized its security organization and upgraded the existing Information Security Center to the Cyber Security Division. The head of the Cyber Security Division is Executive Director Choi Won-hyuk, who was recruited as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) by Hyundai AutoEver in July. Director Choi, formerly of Naver Cloud, is a security expert with 22 years of experience in information and data protection.

View original imageHyundai AutoEver also established a 'Service Security Office' within the new division. The Service Security Office brings together the Red Team, responsible for attacks during penetration testing, and the Blue Team, responsible for defense, to enhance synergy. The Service Security Office plans to classify thousands of potential security breach attempts occurring in connected cars linked to the internet?such as illegal duplication of digital keys, hacking of vehicles in motion, and security of in-vehicle infotainment AVN (Audio·Video·Navigation)?and establish strong countermeasures to prevent them.
Hyundai AutoEver also plans to continuously upgrade the level of security services in the cloud and smart factory sectors, which are at the core of accelerating Digital Transformation (DT).
