Goyang-si Launches '2-Month 500,000 Steps Health Walking Challenge'
Participate with the 'WalkOn' App... Gifts for 150 Challenge Achievers Selected by Lottery
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) Ilsanseo-gu Public Health Center announced on the 4th that it will conduct the ‘2-Month 500,000 Steps Healthy Walking Challenge’ to improve the walking practice rate of local residents and prevent obesity.
The ‘2-Month 500,000 Steps Healthy Walking Challenge’ is a non-face-to-face project using the mobile walking program (WalkOn) for two months from the 8th to December 8th. The health center plans to give small prizes to 150 participants selected by lottery among those who achieve 500,000 steps (with a daily limit of 100,000 steps).
Any Goyang citizen can participate. To join, download the ‘WalkOn’ app from the Play Store or App Store, sign up, join the ‘Goyang-si Ilsanseo-gu Official Community,’ and then click ‘Join Challenge.’
A representative of Ilsanseo-gu Public Health Center said, “We hope that more citizens participate in the ‘2-Month 500,000 Steps Healthy Walking Challenge’ project and develop healthy lifestyle habits by practicing walking.”
