Achieving 'Global Top Tier' Through Duty-Free Business Revitalization
KT&G announced on the 2nd that it will participate in the world's largest duty-free exhibition, '2024 TFWA World,' held in Cannes, France.

TFWA World is an event hosted by the Tax Free World Association to revitalize the duty-free industry. KT&G has participated in this exhibition to strengthen its position as a global leading tobacco company and enhance its influence in the duty-free market.
At this year's exhibition booth, products from major domestic and international duty-free brands such as ESSE, RAISON, and BOHEM will be showcased. Digital screens and displays are installed throughout the booth to provide an overview of KT&G's overseas expansion status and business achievements. Additionally, a meeting room is operated continuously to strengthen existing partnerships and secure new partners, and various networking programs were also participated in.
Kwon Min-seok, Head of KT&G's Overseas Business Division, stated, "We will continue to strive to achieve our future vision of becoming a 'Global Top Tier' through active new market development and expansion of our global network."

Meanwhile, KT&G took its first step into the global duty-free market in 1995 by launching 88 Light in the Chinese duty-free market. Currently, its products are sold in 320 duty-free stores across 150 cities worldwide, including domestic airport duty-free shops. In particular, KT&G has focused on the Asian market, expanding its duty-free business capabilities by entering 28 out of the top 30 airports in Asia. KT&G plans to use this exhibition as a stepping stone to expand its duty-free business into Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America regions.
