Over 1 million citizens join 'Busan Global Hub City Special Act Petition' as of September 28
On the morning of the 2nd at 11 a.m., the city of Busan will hold a "Resolution Rally to Urge Legislation of the Busan Global Hub City Special Act" together with representatives of labor, management, civil society, and government at the Gangseo Sports Park Gymnasium.
This event, hosted by the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, will be attended by over 300 people, including Mayor Park Hyungjoon, the chairperson of the Busan branch of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, the head of the Busan Employment and Labor Office, the Busan Employers Federation, and other representatives from labor, management, civil society, and government in Busan.
The event will feature activities such as a signature campaign urging the legislation of the Busan Global Hub City Special Act, the reading of a joint resolution by labor, management, civil society, and government, and a performance pledging cooperation.
As of September 28, the number of citizens participating in the "Signature Campaign to Urge Legislation of the Busan Global Hub City Special Act," promoted by the city and the Pan-Citizen Promotion Council for the Global Hub City, has surpassed one million. Labor, management, civil society, and government in Busan are also joining this movement to lend their support.
In particular, the joint resolution by labor, management, civil society, and government contains commitments and practical tasks for each sector to enact the Busan Global Hub City Special Act, including establishing a culture of labor-management coexistence, creating jobs and new growth engines, and innovating the economic ecosystem.
