Teenage Girl Dies After Entering Sea to Retrieve Tube...
In Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, an accident occurred where three female students fell into the water; two were rescued, but one who went missing was found dead.
At around 2:06 PM on the 1st, a report was received that an elementary school girl, A, went missing after falling into the water at Ungcheon Waterfront Park Beach in Yeosu City.
Girl A, along with two other teenage female students, entered the water holding hands to retrieve a tube floating on the sea, but they lost their grip and all fell into the water together.
The two students who fell into the water with girl A were rescued by passing citizens and got out of the water, but girl A went missing. Accordingly, the Yeosu Coast Guard and 119 rescue team deployed helicopters, patrol boats, and divers to search, and around 3 PM, girl A was found underwater.
Girl A was transported to the hospital while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation but was pronounced dead.
