Kakao announced on the 30th that it will hold the 'If Kakao' developer conference at the 'Kakao AI Campus' located in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, from the 22nd to the 24th of next month.
If Kakao is an event where Kakao Group reveals its technology vision and shares its technical achievements with the developer community. It started in 2018 and is now in its 6th edition, being held again after two years. Kakao has set AI as the core theme of this conference and plans to share and communicate Kakao’s technology and related knowledge with participants under the slogan "Reinventing All Connections."
In the opening session, CEO Jeong Sin-ah will present the future vision of AI that Kakao will showcase. Lee Sang-ho, Performance Leader at KananaX, will introduce the new AI service 'Kanana.' CTO Jeong Kyu-don will give a presentation on the transition to an AI-native company, and Kim Byung-hak, Performance Leader at Kanana Alpha, will deliver a keynote on Kakao’s generative AI model.
For the first time since the inception of If Kakao, an external speaker will also hold a keynote session. Tai McCutcheon, Senior Vice President of NVIDIA, will participate as a special speaker to announce joint efforts to develop the AI ecosystem and the partnership with Kakao centered on Kanana.
On the last day of the event, CTOs from Kakao and its affiliates will gather to introduce the AI technologies each company possesses and share insights in a panel discussion. About half of the technical sessions will focus on AI, and in addition, a total of 94 sessions covering a wide range of topics such as data, cloud, backend, and mobile will be provided.
Additionally, a space will be prepared where Kakao and its affiliates’ AI technologies and services can be exhibited and experienced firsthand. The exhibition zone will showcase not only Kakao’s AI services and models but also technologies from Kakao affiliates such as autonomous vehicles, the robot delivery service 'Bring,' and cloud- and AI-based productivity tools.
