A Man Who Says His Mom Does All the Cooking and Laundry Shocks Matchwoman with His Reason for Going on a Blind Date
A Man in His 40s Saying His Mom Does Laundry and Cleaning
At a Blind Date, "I Want to Marry to Be Filial"
The Woman Responds, "Are You Looking for a Housekeeper?" in Disbelief
A woman was baffled when a man at a matchmaking meeting told her, "I want to get married to be filial."
On the 25th, a post by a woman in her 30s, A, who recently experienced this, was uploaded to an online community. A met a man in his 40s, B, at a matchmaking meeting not long ago. B revealed that his mother had taken care of all three meals, laundry, and cleaning throughout his life. Then he told A, "Now I want to get married to be filial."
In response, A said, "I really wonder what he was thinking when he said that," and expressed discomfort, asking, "Does that mean he's looking for a housekeeper or caregiver?" She added, "B's parents are pastors, and his older sister and brother volunteer at the church and receive about 500,000 won. B is the sole breadwinner of the family." A explained, "I even know that B earns about the same as I do and has similar assets," and continued, "B's parents have no retirement plans, but my family does, so if we have children, even if not for living expenses, I can support tuition and academy fees."
A also wrote, "I'm in my late 30s, but B, who is in his early 40s, told me I was old. He probably doesn't think much. He seems to think he can just say whatever he wants," expressing anger, "I don't want to be the same kind of person, so I said nothing and am venting here." She added, "I paid for the coffee, but he followed me and asked me to have a meal together. I said goodbye because he was far from my ideal type," and lamented, "He followed me to the station and said, 'We should meet at least three times.' I ended up listening to a 20-minute lecture on his life philosophy and future plans in front of the station."
