Increasing Citizen Convenience through Expansion of Eco-Friendly Infrastructure
On the 27th, Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has been finally selected for the Ministry of Environment's '2024 Zero-Emission Vehicle Transition Brand Contest' and secured a total support fund of 1 billion KRW.
With this selection, Paju City is expected to accelerate its zero-emission vehicle transition policy by installing 25 rapid chargers and 42 slow chargers at 21 public facilities including the Paju City Hall.
In particular, Paju City jointly participated with the private charging operator Parking Cloud Co., Ltd., enabling the expansion of infrastructure for eco-friendly vehicle charging more efficiently without using city budget.
The goal of this contest project is to increase citizen convenience by installing charging facilities in areas with excellent accessibility. Paju City plans to install charging stations mainly in spaces frequently used by citizens, such as public parking lots, to support citizens in using zero-emission vehicles more conveniently.
Additionally, rapid chargers will be installed at major tourist sites such as Imjingak Tourist Area to provide visitors with the convenience of charging during their rest time.
