On the 27th, Kiwoom Securities forecasted that the unlisted company HJ Wave will lead the autonomous driving radar antenna market based on its core manufacturing technology.
Oh Hyunjin, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, explained in a report on the same day, "The company is expected to lead the autonomous driving radar antenna market through its technological competitiveness," adding, "The WGIM (Wave Guided Injection Molded) antenna technology, which the company owns as a proprietary technology, is a key technology that determines the size and performance of radar, a core component of autonomous driving."
HJ Wave is a specialized company in antenna components and equipment based on RF (Radio Frequency). HJ Wave develops and manufactures products capable of supporting various mmWave frequency bands from 24GHz to 140GHz and is preparing applications in various industrial fields, including radar antennas for autonomous driving. Its business segments are divided into component parts such as high-frequency RF antennas, RF production equipment such as EOL (End of Line) CART chambers, and manufacturing of electronic components. Last year, its sales amounted to approximately 11 billion KRW, with the sales composition being 63% components, 20% equipment, and 17% manufacturing.

Researcher Oh predicted that HJ Wave will continue rapid growth based on its core manufacturing technology. He stated, "The company is collaborating on next-generation radar development with global chipset companies, and cooperation with radar companies and others is also increasing. Expansion of production lines is underway," adding,
"Recently, through the establishment of a 3D waveguide antenna production line and the addition of automated processes, it is expected to secure a production capacity of 2 million units within this year, and further expansion is possible depending on future order situations."
