Kyungnam Information University Holds Departure Ceremony for 'BATTERY JAPAN' Overseas Expo Tour
The Secondary Battery Innovation Convergence College Project Group at Kyungnam College of Information & Technology held a departure ceremony for the overseas exploration of "Battery Japan 2024 (Smart Energy Week)" at the university's main conference room on the 25th.
The event was attended by President Kim Taesang, about 20 students participating in the research, the head of the Secondary Battery Innovation Convergence College Project Group, supervising professors, and a total of 29 participants.
The students are scheduled to visit the Battery Japan 2024 (Smart Energy Week) expo held at Makuhari Messe in Japan from October 2 to 4 for four days and three nights, and tour Tokyo Kawasaki Robotics, a company specializing in secondary battery automation process equipment, before returning to Korea.
The Secondary Battery Innovation Convergence College Project is a national education initiative with a budget of over 40 billion won, aiming to foster talent and creativity as core values for creating new value in the secondary battery industry.
In 2023, Kyungnam College of Information & Technology formed a consortium with Pusan National University, Chungbuk National University, Inha University, and Gachon University, and was selected for the advanced field innovation convergence college project in the secondary battery sector, jointly developing and operating the curriculum.
