"COVID-19 Is Not Over"… Yangju City Conducts Vaccination Campaign
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 26th that it will conduct 'COVID-19 vaccination' to prevent COVID-19 infection, hospitalization, and death starting from October 11.
The free vaccination targets for this season are high-risk groups vulnerable to COVID-19 infection, including seniors aged 65 and over, immunocompromised individuals aged 6 months and older, and residents or inpatients of infection-vulnerable facilities.
However, general citizens who are not in the high-risk group can receive vaccinations for a fee at medical institutions.
The vaccination to be administered this time will use the new N.1 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax), which are effective against the currently circulating variants.
▲ Seniors aged 75 and over, immunocompromised individuals aged 6 months and older, and residents or inpatients of infection-vulnerable facilities can receive vaccinations starting October 11 ▲ Seniors aged 70 to 74 can receive vaccinations starting October 15 ▲ Seniors aged 65 to 69 can receive vaccinations starting October 18, with vaccinations being administered sequentially.
Eligible individuals for free vaccination can visit any of the 57 designated medical institutions in the area to receive the vaccine, and vaccinations are also available at designated medical institutions nationwide regardless of residence.
Additionally, seniors aged 65 and over can receive both the COVID-19 and influenza vaccines simultaneously by bringing their ID to a designated medical institution.
