Civic Group Files Complaint Against Medistaff CEO for Aiding Medical Sector Blacklist
Charges of Violation of the Information and Communications Network Act and Defamation
The civic group Committee for the Protection of Ordinary Citizens' Livelihoods (Seominwi) has filed a complaint with the police against Ki Dong-hoon (40), the CEO of Medistaff, who is accused of abetting the 'medical sector blacklist' incident.
On the 26th, Seominwi announced that it had reported Ki to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on charges including violation of the Information and Communications Network Act, defamation, insult, and aiding obstruction of business. Seominwi claimed that Medistaff was being used as a channel to distribute lists of doctors who did not participate in collective actions within the medical community, and that CEO Ki was strengthening site security to protect the authors of posts.

According to Seominwi, Medistaff enhanced security measures in March to automatically delete author information 72 hours after a post was made, and then shortened this period to 24 hours in July. They also announced that they would provide legal support and other compensation to members under police investigation following a police office raid.
