The Nonghyup Yangju Branch (Branch Manager Oh Jeong-su) announced on the 26th that it conducted a 'Eat Breakfast' campaign to promote rice consumption at Hoecheon Middle School in Yangju.
The event was attended by city council members Kim Hyun-soo, Jeong Hee-tae, and Choi Soo-yeon, Hoecheon Middle School Principal Kim Ae-chun, Hoecheon Nonghyup Cooperative President Park Young-seo, Seoul Milk Yangju Factory Manager Ham Chang-bon, and Nonghyup Yangju Branch Manager Oh Jeong-su. They handed out cup rice, sikhye (sweet rice drink), and milk to students arriving at school to promote the importance of breakfast and help foster healthy eating habits among students.
Nonghyup's 'Eat Breakfast' campaign is being carried out company-wide as a nationwide rice consumption promotion movement in response to the worsening rice stock surplus, decreased sales volume due to reduced rice consumption, and falling rice prices, aiming to strengthen Nonghyup's fundamental role for farmers.
