Jinju City Conducts Risk Assessment to Prevent Serious Accidents
Identify Hazardous and Risk Factors in the Workplace in Advance
Jinju City, Gyeongnam will conduct a 'risk assessment' for the prevention of serious accidents from September to November, targeting 82 business sites across 62 departments affiliated with the city.
The assessment aims to identify harmful and hazardous factors in each workplace in advance, establish and implement improvement measures, and thereby ensure worker safety and prevent serious accidents, in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
This risk assessment will be conducted in parallel with consultations from external experts to derive improvement measures tailored to the circumstances of each department.
In addition, the city plans to listen to the opinions of on-site workers and those in charge to identify potential risk factors, determine the necessity of safety training, and implement practical safety measures. After the assessment, improvement plans for the identified risks will be established and thorough follow-up management will be carried out.
A city official stated, "Through this risk assessment, we will raise awareness of serious accident prevention and continue our efforts to create a safer working environment."
