From midnight on the 28th until 4 a.m. on Monday the 30th, vehicle traffic will be completely restricted in both directions on the 10-lane, 900-meter section of Banpodaero in Seoul, from Seocho Station to Seocho 3-dong Intersection.
Seocho District Office in Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 25th that the section will be fully closed to traffic on the 28th and 29th for the 'Seoripul Festival' and that traffic measures will be implemented to minimize inconvenience to visitors.
During the 52 hours of vehicle entry restriction, the district plans to deploy traffic control personnel at 41 key points to ensure pedestrian safety and reduce driver inconvenience by providing detour guidance.
Additionally, to guarantee the safety and convenience of citizens using public transportation, the district has coordinated with bus route officials from Seoul and Gyeonggi Province to complete temporary detour arrangements for metropolitan, city, and village bus routes.
A total of 34 routes are subject to detours, and detailed information about the temporary detours can be found on the Seocho District Office website under ‘Open District Office > Seocho News > Notices.’ This traffic control will be carried out in cooperation with the Seocho Police Station, Seocho and Bangbae Model Drivers Association, and other local community organizations.
Meanwhile, during the festival period, the district will operate 16 temporary restrooms for the convenience of visitors. Visitors can use the QR code on the Seoripul Festival leaflet to search for and access the nearest restroom.
