According to the Presidential Office, Chief Jung visited the funeral hall set up at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul, in the afternoon and conveyed the condolences from President Yoon Seok-yeol and his wife Kim Geon-hee to the bereaved family.
President Yoon expressed his condolences on the 22nd upon Jang's passing, saying, "He was a true role model who protected our era through labor and democratization movements."
It is known that First Lady Kim visited the cancer center where Jang was hospitalized on the 30th of last month.
