Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, met with Lim Hyun-taek, president of the Korea Medical Association (KMA), at the National Assembly on the 22nd to hear the medical community's stance.

View original imageCho Seung-rae, chief spokesperson, told reporters after the meeting, "We shared an awareness of the seriousness of the medical collapse and agreed that it is causing great harm to the public," adding, "We will communicate closely with the KMA to resolve the issue."
The meeting was held privately and lasted about 1 hour and 50 minutes. It is known that Park Joo-min, chairman of the party's Medical Crisis Countermeasures Special Committee, and Kang Cheong-hee, a former full-time vice president of the KMA, were also present.
After the meeting, Lee told reporters, "The ruling party should be the most concerned about this situation, but it seems the public is the most urgent," adding, "The KMA also has the will to resolve the problem. I hope the government will take a more open approach."
Regarding Lee's remarks, Chief Spokesperson Cho added, "The government should be the party that urgently and actively responds in this situation, but it is the most idle, while the public regards the situation as the most serious."
