In celebration of "Seocho Youth FESTA," the expanded "Special Exhibition of Young Artists: SYAF" will take place from the 24th of this month to the 2nd of next month. Now in its third year, SYAF provides young artists with opportunities to exhibit and sell their works, as well as chances to grow as professional artists. This year, about 106 works by 53 young artists participating in the "2024 Youth Gallery Project" will be exhibited.
This special exhibition will be held at the Sam Art Museum of Seoul National University of Education. The "Under30" project is planned for this year's exhibition. This project encourages purchases by attaching stickers to artworks priced reasonably under 300,000 KRW, aiming to break the stereotype that art collecting is a luxurious hobby for certain classes and to support young artists through sales. The district office official encouraged visitors to carefully look for the stickers on 19 works by 13 artists and enjoy art collecting as a new hobby.
The exhibition opening ceremony, held at 2 p.m. on the 24th, will include ▲ docent tours led by the artists themselves ▲ distribution of catalogs (art books) ▲ operation of a photo zone.
On the 23rd, an economic lecture will be held at the Seocho Youth Center. Song Hee-gu, author of "The Story of Manager Kim Who Owns a House in Seoul and Works at a Large Corporation" and a YouTuber with 110,000 subscribers, is expected to thoroughly answer the questions of young people interested in subscription savings and real estate investment.
On the 26th, an overseas employment concert will be held. The concert will consist of ▲ introduction to overseas employment support systems by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea ▲ employment lectures by current employees of global companies ▲ 2:2 open mock interviews with current interviewers ▲ small group mentoring sessions with current and former employees of global companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Starbucks, providing guidance for young people seeking overseas employment.
Any young person aged 19 to 39 residing or active in Seocho-gu can participate, and applications can be made through the Seocho Youth Center website.
