Daejeon Jangdong Gyejoksan Cosmos Festival to Open on the 3rd of Next Month
Various Attractions and Activities Available Until the 5th
Daejeon Daedeok-gu announced that the 8th Jangdong Gyejoksan Cosmos Festival will be held from the 3rd to the 5th of next month at Jangdong Mannam Park and its surrounding area.
The Jangdong Gyejoksan Cosmos Festival is Daedeok-gu's representative local festival, featuring a vast 40,000-square-meter field of pink cosmos flowers that highlights the unique characteristics of the Jangdong area.
This festival, hosted by Daedeok-gu and sponsored by the Jangdong Scenic Agriculture Promotion Committee, will kick off on the 3rd with a pungmulnori (traditional Korean folk performance), followed by an opening ceremony, a bibimbap performance, performances by local clubs, a balloon magic show, and various other attractions.
On the 5th, there will be an impromptu singing contest, along with hands-on activities such as donkey riding, dalgona making, caricature drawing, and keyring making, as well as food trucks in operation.
Choi Chungyu, Mayor of Daedeok-gu, said, "I hope everyone can enjoy the festival programs we have prepared with care and spend time with family, friends, and loved ones while feeling the romance and atmosphere of autumn."
