Wando Arboretum Open Free During Chuseok Holiday

Wando Arboretum of Jeollanam-do Forest Research Institute (Director Lee Seok-myeon) announced on the 13th that the entire arboretum area will be open free of charge during the Chuseok holiday.
This free opening is intended to allow residents, returning visitors, and tourists to enjoy forest recreation at the largest and only subtropical arboretum in Korea.
The main open facilities include 31 specialized gardens, a forest museum, a subtropical greenhouse, walking trails, hiking trails, and other indoor and outdoor viewing facilities.
Wando Arboretum, covering 2,033 hectares, is the largest subtropical forest arboretum in Korea, home to 765 native plant species such as camellia and red oak. It boasts evergreen forest resources even in winter and features a natural landscape where green forests and the sea harmonize beautifully.
