Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that it will waive toll fees for vehicles on three privately operated roads?Ilsan Bridge, Seosuwon~Uiwang Expressway, and the 3rd Gyeongin Expressway?during the four-day Chuseok holiday.
The province will implement free tolls on these three private roads for a total of 96 hours, from midnight on the 15th to midnight on the 18th, during the Chuseok period.
The toll fees waived for these private roads are 1,200 KRW for Ilsan Bridge, 900 KRW for the Seosuwon~Uiwang Expressway, and 2,300 KRW for using the entire 3rd Gyeongin Expressway, based on passenger cars.
Usage is the same as usual: vehicles equipped with Hi-Pass should use the Hi-Pass lane, and regular vehicles should pass through the toll booth.
The province expects a total of approximately 1.79 million vehicles to use the roads during the free toll period: 600,000 on Seosuwon~Uiwang, 890,000 on the 3rd Gyeongin, and 300,000 on Ilsan Bridge.
The province began the toll waiver policy in 2017 during the Lunar New Year. The policy was suspended from Lunar New Year 2020 in line with the government-wide social distancing measures due to the COVID-19 outbreak but has been reinstated since Chuseok 2022.
