Gwangju Bank (President Ko Byung-il) announced on the 10th that it held a traditional market shopping event with multi-child families at Wolgok Market in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, on the 9th to celebrate the Chuseok holiday.
Gwangju Bank, which actively participates in revitalizing the local economy by visiting traditional markets every Lunar New Year and Chuseok, once again energized the traditional market and led efforts to promote local consumption by purchasing goods for this year’s Chuseok holiday.
In particular, this year, to contribute to Gwangju City's low birthrate overcoming policy, the bank invited multi-child families in the region to participate in the shopping experience together. To alleviate the economic burden of multi-child families feeling the pressure of prices for ancestral rites and to fulfill social responsibility for overcoming the low birthrate crisis, it delivered 5 million won worth of Onnuri gift certificates through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Gwangju Regional Headquarters.
Ko Byung-il, President of Gwangju Bank, said, “We prepared this event to support the traditional market, which is going through a more difficult time than ever.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to fulfill corporate social responsibility by actively carrying out ESG management, including continuous social contribution activities to revitalize the local economy and spread a culture of sharing.”
