View original imageThe Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘Open Ground’ project by the 19th to support the growth of startups in the southwestern region of Gyeonggi-do.
Open Ground signifies the creation of a new startup ecosystem in Gyeonggi-do, focusing on promoting cooperation among private companies, public institutions, and startups, and establishing a foundation for the innovative growth of startups within the province.
The recruitment targets are startups established within the last 7 years that have headquarters, branches, research centers, or factories in four cities: Anyang, Gunpo, Gwacheon, and Uiwang. This year, 20 startups will be selected.
The agency will support the selected companies with ▲technology cooperation (open innovation) ▲capacity building (value-up) ▲networking and investment linkage ▲technology demonstration (PoC), among others.
Last year, the agency provided various support to 12 companies participating in the southwestern region Open Ground program, including 55 expert consultations, 11 technology matchings, and 2 investment acquisitions, achieving significant results.

Kang Seong-cheon, head of the agency, stated, "We will provide practical growth opportunities to startups in the southwestern region of Gyeonggi-do and create an innovative ecosystem through collaboration with large corporations." He emphasized, "Building on last year’s achievements, we will offer customized support to more companies this year to realize ‘Startup Heaven, Gyeonggi-do.’"
