Hyun Bin Becomes Ahn Jung-geun... 'Haerbin' to Release in December
The film 'Harbin,' depicting the independence activist Ahn Jung-geun during the Japanese colonial period, is set to be released in December, distributor CJ ENM announced on the 5th.
'Harbin' portrays the tense chase and suspicion between those heading to Harbin in 1909 for a single purpose and those pursuing them. Actor Hyun Bin plays Ahn Jung-geun, with Park Jung-min and Lee Dong-wook also starring. The film is the new work by director Woo Min-ho, who previously directed 'The Man Standing Next' (2020), marking his return after four years.

The trailer released that day is filled with Ahn Jung-geun's monologue. "I was ready to give up everything and die. The dreadful cries of my fallen comrades echoed in my ears and haunted my vision. At that moment, I realized that I was living in place of my deceased comrades. And I understood what I must do. We must kill and eliminate the old wolf, the leader of the Japanese wolves who ravage the Korean Empire."
