In June 2022, they broke into an apartment in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, with their faces covered by masks and hats. They are accused of assaulting and threatening six victims, stealing cash and valuables worth approximately 130 million won, and fleeing the scene.
In November last year, the police arrested four of the seven suspects, and in early February this year, they received intelligence that the remaining three had fled to Cebu, Philippines. The National Police Agency obtained a red notice from the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and formed a joint tracking team with the Philippine law enforcement agencies, led by the Cebu Korean Desk. After two arrest operations, all suspects were apprehended at a luxury resort on May 3.
