Yangsan City Holds 'Integrity Live' Training for Public Officials
Educational Programs Incorporating Cultural Performances Serve as Opportunity to Spread Integrity Culture
On the 3rd, Yangsan City in Gyeongnam held a special lecture on integrity, "Integrity Live," at the Grand Performance Hall of the Yangsan Culture and Arts Center. The event was attended by Mayor Na Dongyeon, all city employees, and executives and staff from the Facility Management Corporation and Welfare Foundation, and was hosted by the Integrity Training Institute of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
This special lecture was organized to raise awareness of integrity among all employees and to foster a culture of integrity in public service. To ensure that many employees could enjoyably reflect on the meaning of integrity, the 90-minute program incorporated a variety of cultural performance content.
The main topics included key integrity themes such as the code of conduct including the prohibition of workplace abuse, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act. These were creatively presented through cultural performances such as pansori, special lectures, and sand art.
In particular, by moving away from the traditional monotonous and rigid lecture style and encouraging direct participation and interest from employees, the event highlighted the importance of practicing integrity in daily life and fostered a sense of shared commitment, providing a fun and meaningful experience.
Mayor Na Dongyeon emphasized, "Integrity is the most fundamental and important value for public officials. Through this special lecture, we will continue to strive to create an environment where all employees can practice integrity on their own, and thereby make Yangsan City even more transparent and fair."
