Jung-gu's 'Visiting Resource Circulation Education' to Reduce Waste
Resource Circulation Education in 15 Neighborhoods Starting from the 5th
Participation Applications Available Through Respective Neighborhood Community Centers
Jung-gu District Office in Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) will conduct a "Visiting Resource Circulation Education" program for residents from the 5th of this month until October 31st. This education program, designed to widely promote the importance of resource circulation and waste reduction within the local community, will be held sequentially across 15 neighborhoods in Jung-gu.
Participants will gather at their neighborhood community centers and then move to "Saerom," the nation's first waste research institute, where they will attend a one-hour lecture on resource circulation. Afterwards, they will visit the Jung-gu Resource Recycling Processing Center for an approximately 30-minute on-site tour.
The lecture at Saerom will focus on ▲practical methods for waste reduction ▲proper waste separation and disposal techniques ▲the importance of resource recycling. At the Jung-gu Resource Recycling Processing Center, participants will have the opportunity to observe how waste generated within Jung-gu is processed. Through this tour, they can visually grasp not only the volume of waste produced but also the enormous resources and efforts required for waste management.
It is expected that this education will help residents deeply realize the necessity of resource circulation and motivate them to actively engage in resource circulation activities.
Residents wishing to participate can apply through their respective neighborhood community centers at least seven days before the education date. Each neighborhood will recruit 20 participants, and the program is free of charge. The education will begin on September 5th in Sogong-dong and conclude on October 31st in Jungnim-dong.
