Preparing Holiday Table Settings with Onnuri Gift Certificates
About 100 executives and employees, including Park Il-jun, the full-time vice chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), visited traditional markets ahead of the Chuseok holiday to purchase goods and support small business owners. They requested the purchase of Onnuri gift certificates from 73 chambers of commerce nationwide to help revitalize traditional markets.

On the 3rd, KCCI announced that about 100 executives and employees, including Vice Chairman Park, visited Yeongcheon Market in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. Ahead of Chuseok, they purchased fruits, dried seafood, and other items using Onnuri gift certificates at traditional markets to support the markets and small business owners.
Younger employees bought Yeongcheon Market’s specialty twisted doughnuts (kkwabaegi) and grilled short rib patties (tteokgalbi). KCCI employees who could not attend plan to visit traditional markets near their residences to purchase Chuseok goods before the holiday.
KCCI stated, "Some merchants reported that their daily sales increased by more than 20% thanks to the executives and employees purchasing Onnuri gift certificates."
Earlier, on the 27th of last month, KCCI sent letters to 73 chambers of commerce nationwide, urging them to actively participate in revitalizing traditional markets by purchasing Onnuri gift certificates and other means.
