Kia will unveil the all-terrain small tactical vehicle (KLTV) 'Bear Chassis' and the medium standard vehicle (KMTV) 'Cab Chassis' at the Poland International Defence Industry Exhibition.
On the 3rd, Kia announced that it will participate in the 'Poland International Defence Industry Safety Exhibition (MSPO) 2024,' held from the 3rd to the 6th of this month (local time) at the Kielce Exhibition Center in Poland. Marking its 32nd edition this year, MSPO is the largest international defence industry exhibition in Eastern Europe.
At this exhibition, Kia showcased the KLTV 'Bear Chassis.' The small tactical vehicle is designed to assist safe military mobility with powerful engine performance and maneuverability. It features various safety specifications such as bulletproof glass and panels, and anti-personnel mine protection flooring. It was recently selected as a new vehicle in the Polish military vehicle replacement project.
Alongside this, the KMTV 'Cab Chassis' was unveiled for the first time in Europe. This vehicle is equipped only with the cabin (the space for the driver and passengers) on the Bear Chassis and was developed to replace the existing 2½t and 5t military standard vehicles. It includes various convenience features such as front and rear cameras and navigation, and boasts capabilities including ▲1m deep water fording ▲60% longitudinal slope climbing (ascending and descending slopes by moving forward and backward) and 40% lateral slope climbing (driving while tilted sideways) ▲and transport capacity for up to 22 passengers.
A Kia official stated, "We will continue to present the future vision of military mobility by developing special vehicles applying various innovative technologies."
