Man in His 50s Dies After Being Stung by Bees While Tending to Ancestral Grave in Hapcheon
A man in his 50s died after being stung by a bee while clearing weeds around his ancestors' graves ahead of Chuseok.
According to the Hapcheon Police Station in South Gyeongsang Province on the 2nd, at around 9:20 a.m. on the 1st, Mr. A, who was in his 50s, was stung by a bee while cutting grass at his family’s ancestral grave on a hill in Cheongdeok-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, along with his younger sibling.
After being stung in the neck, Mr. A collapsed and was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but ultimately passed away.
It was reported that Mr. A died from anaphylactic shock, a severe allergic reaction to certain substances.
