Business Agreement on 'Single-Use Plastic Reduction' with Companies in Icheon City

On the 30th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute signed a business agreement to reduce single-use plastics with major companies in Icheon at the Daol Room in City Hall.

Attendees at the signing ceremony included Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon; Lim Hyun-jung, Director of the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute; Park Yong-geun, Vice President of SK Hynix; Lee Ju-bong, CEO of The Day One Lab; Won Jeong-hoon, Executive Director of Shinsegae Food; Jeong Young-heon, Executive Director of Samsung Welstory; Bae Soo-young, Executive Director of CJ Freshway; and Lee Ki-won, Managing Director of Hunid.
Through this agreement, the city plans to encourage the use of biodegradable lightweight plastic containers by collaborating with the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute and The Day One Lab to replace the single-use plastic packaging currently used by the SK Hynix cafeteria operator.
