Hwaseong City-Democratic Party Hwaseong Jeong, Party-Government Council Meeting Held
Discussion on the Promotion of Current Issues such as Cultural Complex Facilities, Urban Railways, and Parks
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that it held a party-government council meeting on the 29th at the Dongtan Branch Office with the Hwaseongjeong Regional Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea to discuss the promotion of local issues. The Hwaseongjeong constituency includes Dongtan 1, 2, 3, and 5-dong, as well as Banwol-dong.

At the meeting attended by Jeon Yong-gi, Chairman of the Democratic Party Hwaseongjeong Regional Committee, Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun, provincial and city council members, and related officials, the party and government discussed ▲ revitalization measures around Seodongtan Station ▲ construction of a cultural complex facility in Dongtan 1-dong ▲ progress check on the feasibility study for the project to establish Solbitnaru Station ▲ remodeling of the Naraeul~Banseoksan walking trail, among other topics.
First, to revitalize the area around Seodongtan Station, they agreed to share progress with Osan City regarding the adjacent Osan Oesammi 1 District urban development project and explore integrated operation plans for bus bays.
Regarding the construction of the 'Dongtan 1-dong Cultural Complex Facility' on idle land in Seokwoo-dong 51 area, they completed the basic plan and feasibility study and decided to proceed with the goal of completion by 2028.
Following the confirmation of the extension project of Subway Line 1 using the Dongtan-Indeokwon Line connection, the establishment of the 'Solbitnaru Station (tentative name)' is currently proposed to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the competent authority, and the city announced at the meeting that it plans to request a feasibility study within this year.
Regarding the agenda for 'Naraeul~Banseoksan Walking Trail Remodeling,' which involves maintaining the walking path from Gubongsan Neighborhood Park to Banseoksan Neighborhood Park, they agreed to include it in the next year's main budget and proceed accordingly.
Additionally, the party and government agreed to continue active communication on other agendas such as ▲ Dongtan Urban Railway (Tram) construction project ▲ comprehensive development of Chidongcheon Eco Park ▲ promotion of barrier-free paths in Banseoksan.
Chairman Jeon said, "Dongtan, which has surpassed a population of 400,000 and is heading toward 500,000, still has many issues to resolve," adding, "We will always keep the communication window open so that citizens can feel the development and work together with the city to promote progress."

Mayor Jeong responded, "With the opening of the east-west connecting main road over the Gyeongbu Expressway, Dongtan is being reborn," and said, "We will pursue prompt administration to make it a world-class city where citizens feel comfort and happiness."
