Hantoo Asset Management Changes Record Date for ACE US Dividend Dow Jones ETF Distribution Payment
Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 30th that it will change the distribution payment record date of the ACE U.S. Dividend Dow Jones Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) to the 15th of every month.
The ACE U.S. Dividend Dow Jones ETF will change its distribution payment record date from the previous last business day of each month to the 15th of every month (or the preceding business day if the 15th is not a business day). This change will be reflected starting in September, and the August distribution, originally scheduled for the end of the month, will be combined and paid together with the September distribution. The record date for the September distribution is the 13th of next month, with the payment date scheduled for the 20th.
The ACE U.S. Dividend Dow Jones ETF is a product launched by Korea Investment Trust Management in October 2021. Its underlying index tracks the Dow Jones U.S. Dividend 100 Price Return Index, which is the same as the Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD), a representative U.S. dividend growth ETF.
This index is characterized by selecting 100 companies listed in the U.S. that have paid dividends for over 10 years and have strong fundamentals, investing in them using a market capitalization-weighted method.
According to the Korea Exchange as of the 29th, the ACE U.S. Dividend Dow Jones ETF recorded net assets of 399.3 billion KRW, approaching the milestone of 400 billion KRW. This year, individual investors have net purchased the ETF worth 104.6 billion KRW, maintaining a buying streak for 17 consecutive days recently.
Among ETFs of the same type (tracking the same underlying index with currency exposure) launched domestically, the ACE U.S. Dividend Dow Jones ETF also shows the best performance. According to Fund Guide, the ACE U.S. Dividend Dow Jones ETF recorded returns of 6.39% over 3 months, 9.64% over 6 months, 15.33% year-to-date, 18.36% over 1 year, and 32.04% since listing.
Kim Seunghyun, ETF Consulting Manager at Korea Investment Trust Management, said, “We changed the distribution payment record date of the ACE U.S. Dividend Dow Jones ETF to the 15th of every month to provide investors with more options in monthly dividend products. There is an advantage that investors can receive distributions twice a month when investing simultaneously in mid-month and end-of-month distribution products.”
