Promotion of the 'Korea Round Culture' Project
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange announced on the 29th that they will promote the 'Korea Round Culture' project. This project supports collaboration between Korean and overseas cultural and artistic professionals. It has been carried out in cooperation with foreign missions and cultural centers located in Korea since last year.
This year, twelve projects collaborating with nine countries including Brazil, the United States, Canada, Italy, Thailand, T?rkiye, Ukraine, Singapore, and China were selected.
Domestically, collaborative events will be held in connection with major cultural and artistic events. These include the Korea-Canada dance co-production project "Mom (Seoul International Dance Festival)," the Korea-T?rkiye classical collaboration "T?rkiye Presidential Symphony Orchestra & Pianist Kim Hong-gi (PyeongChang Daegwallyeong Music Festival)," and the Korea-Italy jazz exchange performance (Jaraseom Jazz Festival).
Various year-round events such as the Korea-Thailand play "The Little Tiger for Korea" and the Korea-Ukraine classical collaboration "Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra & Pianist Kim Jun-hee" will also be held.
"Mom" and "T?rkiye Presidential Symphony Orchestra & Pianist Kim Hong-gi" will also be presented in the partner countries. The former will be performed at the Plex Dance Theatre in Canada in March next year, and the latter will take the stage at the main concert hall of the T?rkiye Presidential Symphony Orchestra in December.
