First, to communicate with children, visits were made to the Together Care Centers in Uljin and Hupo, where time was spent directly caring for and talking with the children.
The Together Care Centers consist of 20 children aged 6 to 12 (elementary school students), providing child protection, homework guidance, meals, and snacks.
County Mayor Son Byungbok personally cared for the children by playing board games and Lego during playtime. In the following lecture, he used specially prepared materials to explain topics such as 'Developing Good Habits', 'The Importance of Hydrogen in the Climate Crisis', and 'The Future of Uljin County' in a way that was easy for children to understand, followed by a Q&A session.
Son, who has a special affection for the education of children who will lead Uljin's next hundred years, donated 50 books from Youngjin.com to each of the Together Care Centers in Uljin and Hupo as part of the centennial educational vision for Uljin.
He also explained the importance of greeting etiquette to the children and introduced the 'Greet First Campaign' currently being implemented by the county, encouraging the children to practice it together.
On the 28th, together with the Hupo Together Care Center, Son visited Geumeum 2-ri and Jungyul Senior Centers, sharing meals with the elderly, checking on each individual to see if they had any inconveniences or needs, and spending a warm, friendly time together.
He also participated in the Hupo Coastal Barefoot Walking Program, attended a lecture on barefoot walking, and walked along the beach with local residents, fostering communication in a relaxed atmosphere.
County Mayor Son Byungbok said, "Meeting many residents in the field makes me realize once again the value of each and every person who does their best in their own place," and added, "The 8th popularly elected Uljin County government is striving to practice proactive and service-oriented administration that does not neglect even the smallest voices of residents. We will continue to create broad opportunities for communication and do our best to realize resident-centered administration that resonates with all generations."
