Special Inspection of Restroom Facilities in September to Check Cleanliness and Repair Aging Infrastructure
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Wono) announced that emergency bells linked with Seongdong Police Station have been installed throughout all women's restrooms in public parking lots to prevent various crimes in advance and allow residents to use the restrooms with peace of mind.
A total of 12 emergency bells were installed this time, which are automatically connected to the Seongdong Police Station control room to respond to emergencies. Through the warning lights installed outside, the emergency situation can also be alerted to outsiders.
Three types of devices were installed: warning lights outside the restroom, emergency bells inside, and wireless emergency buttons inside the partitions. When pressed in an emergency, they are linked to the Seongdong Police Station control room for rapid dispatch.
With this, along with the three emergency bells previously installed, emergency bells have been installed in all 15 women's restrooms in Seongdong-gu public parking lots, which is expected to greatly contribute to crime prevention and resident safety.
In addition, Seongdong-gu announced plans to conduct a special inspection of public parking lot restrooms in September to check cleanliness and repair damaged facilities. Minor issues found during the inspection will be immediately addressed on-site, and repairs or reinforcements will be completed promptly to ensure no inconvenience to users.
Also, in September, environmental improvement construction will be carried out to renovate the interior and exterior of the aging Seongsu 1-ga 1-dong and Songjeong-dong public parking lots to create a safe and pleasant parking environment.
