Songgok Cultural Foundation Pledges 100 Million Won Scholarship Donation to DGIST... "Support Outstanding Students"
DGIST (President Lee Geonwoo) announced that the Songgok Cultural Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Park Jungon) has pledged to donate 100 million KRW as a development fund to DGIST.
The donation agreement ceremony was held on the 28th at the Songgok Cultural Scholarship Foundation. The event was attended by Chairman Park Jungon of the Songgok Cultural Scholarship Foundation and President Lee Geonwoo of DGIST, among others.

View original imageChairman Park Jungon stated, "We hope to contribute to DGIST, a research-oriented university representing Daegu, by supporting students in the field of bio research so that it can become a world-class university," and added, "I hope this will help talented students with excellent academic and research capabilities realize their potential."
Meanwhile, the Songgok Cultural Scholarship Foundation was established in October 2010 according to the wishes of the late Songgok Park Kyusam, Honorary Chairman of Koram Steel, and has since contributed to nurturing talent and developing the local community.
This scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of 10 million KRW for ten years to students in the field of bio research at DGIST who demonstrate outstanding academic and research achievements.
