A man in his 30s who repeatedly pushed an elementary school student's head underwater at Hangang Park swimming pool has been referred to the prosecution.
On the 28th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent a man in his 30s to the prosecution without detention on charges of child abuse for grabbing the head of a 7-year-old elementary school student and repeatedly pushing it underwater.
The man is accused of repeatedly pushing the head of a 7-year-old elementary school student with developmental disabilities underwater at the Hangang Park swimming pool in Mapo-gu, Seoul, at around 11:50 a.m. on the 3rd. The police arrested the man on the 26th, 23 days after the incident, after analyzing CCTV footage and vehicle records.
