On the 27th, LG Electronics announced that it showcased the preview video on large domestic and international digital billboards ahead of Frieze Seoul 2024, which will be held from the 4th to the 7th of next month at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The preview video was displayed at six domestic locations including Parnas Tower in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2, as well as two overseas landmarks: New York Times Square and London Piccadilly Circus.
The video features media art that reinterprets the work "Haengin" by the late ink wash abstract master painter Seo Seok, created by his eldest son, artist Seo Doho. The video depicts a person leisurely walking through an intersection, bringing life to the original piece expressed in ink on paper, capturing the attention of passersby.
At Frieze Seoul, LG Electronics plans to showcase the media art from the preview video and works reinterpreted by artist Seo Doho based on representative pieces by painter Seo Seok through the 'LG Transparent OLED TV.' Architect Seo Ulho, the second son of painter Seo Seok, will direct the entire exhibition space, offering a unique three-dimensional experience through the transparent screen.
