Hamyang County, Gyeongnam Province, is holding a gift event for recipients of medical benefit general health checkups who complete their checkups by October to encourage early participation this year.
For this event, eligible participants who complete their general health checkup can receive a towel set by submitting their checkup confirmation and ID to the Birth Support Team at the Health Promotion Department on the 3rd floor of the public health center from September 9 to the end of November.
This year, the eligible recipients for the general health checkup are those aged 20 to 64 who were born in even-numbered years. The checkup is free of charge and includes physical measurements, chest X-rays, urine tests, blood tests, and oral examinations.
The checkup can be done at any designated institution nationwide. Local designated institutions include Sokpyeonhan Internal Medicine Clinic, Hanmaeum Union Clinic, Hamyang Seongsim Hospital, and Hongin Clinic.
Eligibility and designated institutions can be checked on the National Health Insurance Service website or by calling their call center. For more details, contact the Birth Support Team at the Hamyang County Public Health Center Health Promotion Department.
An official from the Hamyang County Public Health Center said, "This event is being held to encourage health checkups among medical benefit recipients," and added, "We hope that early checkups will help detect diseases sooner, enabling timely treatment and management so that all residents can enjoy a healthy life."
